Make a list
List all your items, lots of us don't realize just how much we have until we move home. Use this to plan where items will go in your new home. Make note of large items so there are no nasty surprises with things not fitting where you want them when you get to your new home.
Have plenty of supplies
If your sourcing your own packing materials always over estimate what you need, you will be surprised how quickly that roll of tape or bubble wrap goes down.
You can purchase these items from the MD online store even if your not moving with us.
Utilize wardrobe boxes
Wardrobe boxes are a great way to transport those delicate items, or those important work shirts you don't want to iron again. These are available from our online store.
Strategize and use different size boxes
Try not to put all your things into the biggest boxes you can find. Try to place heaver items such as books, and kitchen items into smaller boxes. This of course allows the removal team to safely lift them. And also avoids boxes tearing under to much weight.
Have a system
Whether its colours, numbers or just names, label your items and boxes. This will enable your removal team to quickly unload and place the items in the correct rooms, leaving you free to plan that new wallpaper or simply put your feet up and have a brew.
